April 3, 2025
How did Czech cinemas perform last year? What has changed — and what’s still to come? And most importantly: how is artificial intelligence shaking up the film industry? The **KINO 2025** seminar will dive into all of this and more on **April 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM at Kino Přítomnost** in Prague. The event is open to cinema operators, distributors, film professionals, and anyone curious about new technologies.
Film & AI: A Hot Topic in the Industry
The seminar is organized by **Petr Vítek** from the **Nové kino** (New Cinema) initiative, which focuses on the future of Czech cinemas. This year, the **Association of Cinema Operators** joins as a partner, along with other guests from the worlds of film and innovation. Expect a full day of insights, hands-on learning, and discussions about where cinema is heading — and how to adapt.
### Hands-On Workshop: How to Harness AI
The highlight of the day will be an interactive workshop led by **Adam Hanka from Creative Dock** titled “**How to Harness Artificial Intelligence**.” This won’t be a lecture — it’s a practical session where you'll explore AI tools that can assist with research, writing, visuals, and presentations. Whether AI excites or overwhelms you, this is your chance to gain real skills and confidence.
> “You might walk out with your own AI assistant or a complete presentation you hadn’t planned this morning — and that’s just the beginning.” – Adam Hanka
Just **bring your laptop** (and, if you want to dive deeper, access to a **paid ChatGPT plan** — not required, but helpful).
What’s New in Cinema? And What’s Coming Next?
Beyond AI, the day will offer insight into the current state of cinema distribution. **Petr Vítek** will share updates from the **Nové kino 2024–2025** project, now entering its second year with new topics and partners.
The day wraps up with **Barbora Kucsa Prágerová** from the Association of Cinema Operators, presenting upcoming trends and challenges facing cinemas in 2025 — from shifting audience habits to technological transformations.
