We invite all seniors to special afternoon screenings with discounted admission! We have selected several exceptional films from this year's festival offer. Marco, the Fabled Truth (Spain) is a drama inspired by the true story of Enrico Marco (Eduard Fernández), who claimed all his life that he survived a concentration camp. However, his carefully constructed image of a hero begins to crumble when an unyielding journalist becomes interested in his past. When Autumn Comes (France) is a drama by the legendary director Francois Ozon, which takes us to a Burgundian village, where complicated family relationships become strained after the return of an unworthy son from prison. Ludivine Sagnier, Josiane Balasko, and Hélène Vincent excel in leading roles. The Swiss comedy Accused: A Dog watches the first dog trial in history. Come and enjoy the great festival atmosphere!
A thriller drama about an Eritrean human trafficker who ends up in a refugee camp. Will she be able to save herself in time and escape her past? This story is based on actual events directed by Daniel Espinosa (Easy Money, Child Number 44, Morbius).
When Hana, a young wolf breeder from Vienna, follows the trail of an escaped wolf across the border to the Czech Republic, she unexpectedly returns to a place whose taboo past still has a traumatic impact on her generation. Here, in the old house in the meadows of her Austrian grandmother Viktoria, she meets her mother Miriam and finds herself, so to speak, among the "wolves" who drove her family from the pack in 1945. The story of women's courage across generations and borders is based on the life story of director Tereza Kotyk.
The screening at Edison will be introduced, and the film's creators, Tereza Kotyk, Karla Stojáková, Pavel Berčík, Antonie Hlavicová and Jiří Dlouhý will answer questions from the audience after the film.
